A visit all the way from Austin, TX was much to my surprise and delight last week. Recently, I received an email from a sorority sister (Zeta Phi Beta, Inc.) who found me by way of a LinkedIn search...

Search:  Zeta Phi Beta in London

...and there pops my name; the powers of search and big brother. One could take this as fantastic or spooky. I did both at first, but Mrs. Kim proved to be a delight.

We caught up on life and girl talk at a delicious Bombay Cafe called Dishoom in Leicester Square, but first things first, what are two girls to do before we eat? A little shopping (just a little - wink, wink). We began at the museum of department stores - Harrods (with seven floors of designer shopping for any fashionista) - but it was Zara which kept Soror Kim in the dressing room and 1 hour later, to the counter.

The rainy week kept us from the Taste of London, but I couldn't let her leave London without a proper Afternoon tea at one of my favorite cafes, Bea's of Bloomsbury. The cupcakes are to die for, the lunch is quite tasty and the afternoon tea is very Burlesque British (if there were such a thing). Decorated in a whimsical theme of warm colors, squiggly designs, and the cutest teapot lighting and accessories, Bea's offers a nice selection of teas which make this place a must stop for Afternoon tea, meetings, parties and girl talk.
