Just witnessed a phenomenal night of fresh entertainment, wicked sounds and inspiring story telling. Fela!, the Broadway play sweeping across the nation, was truly a delight in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre (National Theatre) in London. Not only did it have me alert, entertained, buzzing and mesmerized by the sexy male dancers (if I were male I would say female dancers). The choreography, singing and colorful re-enactment of the Nigerian Afro-beats pioneer musician of the 70's, Fela Kuti, left me wanting more and planning for your second return. As best stated, "a provocative hybrid of concert, dance and musical story telling". Honestly, the best show I have seen in years.
