The Shoe Museum

Forget all about the up and coming Gucci museum in Florence, this site is something to see.

Recently I came across the Architectural Digest of shoes, the Shoe Museum: A website featuring unique, interesting and sometimes odd designs and shoe paraphernalia from A-Z shoe designers from all over the world. Some of my favorites so far.

Italian Artist, Davide Alleri and his take on a classic - Converse.

Kobi Levi, artist and shoe designer from Tel-Aviv, specializes in 'shoe designs and development making'. His unique talent to turn real life elements (such as an animal) into a shoe is somewhat brilliant and disturbing all at once. Wearable or not, they are definitely risqué, awkward, and interesting conversation pieces to say the least. My favorite - the chewing gum shoe.

Okay you know this is way cool - A child's playground!

Ever picture Lady Gaga as a shoe?

'The earlier you die, the longer you live' is Iris Schieferstein's motto. An artist who needs not to worry about import taxation laws or fees, but can easily locate her source of raw materials from outside any rural backyard. I have to be honest, these shoes actually scare me. But who am I to judge art.

The horse shoe - pardon the pun.

Birds of a feather flock together
There is more so check out the site.
